We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the Hoskara family who donated a whopping 560 pieces of pizza on Thursday. Any families who noted to avoid pizza were offered a cold treat. Or something similar. The school will cover supplies and we are hoping to mount it to keep as a mural. It is tempera paint on paper and measures 224 cm long x 220 cm wide. Please reach out to Mme Doherty (dohertyf@limestone.on.ca) if you are able to help us. Thank you. Library Book Update! Wow, Hawks! Library volunteers have been incredibly impressed by the outstanding effort students have made in returning library books before the summer break. This past week alone, 233 books were returned to the library. What an amazing accomplishment!There are still 113 books currently checked out, so let's keep up the great work and continue returning books to help us prepare for the end of the school year.Not sure if your student has a library book checked out? On average, more than 14,000 meals and snacks were served each week, over 530,000 throughout the year, with weekly food orders reaching approximately $17,500.We are grateful to the dedicated staff who make these programs possible, and to The Food Sharing Project for continuing to support student well-being across LDSB. This support is increasingly important as many families continue to face food insecurity.
